WHAT IS CHINESE MEDICINE?

Developed over 3,000 years ago, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) makes use of acupuncture, herbs, and Tui Na (Chinese orthopedic massage) to promote the healing process. Acupuncture, the insertion of thin needles into specific points on the body, stimulates and unblocks a person's own energy, helping to bring the body back into a balanced and healthy state.

TCM uses classical diagnostic tools, such as examining the tongue and feeling the pulse, to assess the whole person and discover the underlying cause of the problem, resulting in a treatment unique to that person's condition.

Acupuncture is proven to be effective for numerous health conditions including arthritis, morning sickness, fibromyalgia, asthma, low back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome and many more. Chinese medicine also has been efficacious in the treatment of:
Skin conditions such as eczema and rosacea
Respiratory problems including asthma, allergies, and sinus complaints
Digestive complaints such as irritable bowel syndrome, nausea, and constipation
Gynecological and obstetrical pathologies including premenstrual syndrome, painful periods, PCOS, morning sickness, pain during pregnancy and post-partum depression
Emotional disorders such as anxiety, depression and irritability
